Rev. Daniel J. Hartwig has served as Trinity’s pastor since 2020. He came to
Trinity with over a decade of experience in the ministry, having previously served
as a pastor at congregations in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Oconomowoc,
Wisconsin. Though he loves serving people of all ages, he has a great deal of
experience in ministering to elementary and high school aged youth, and is a
regular counselor at our church body’s two annual youth events: Camp Rise (a
summer camp for middle-schoolers) and the national Lutheran Youth Association
(LYA) gathering (for high schoolers). He also loves church music and often writes
special hymn verses for our worship services.
Hartwig was born and raised near Manitowoc, Wisconsin where he enjoyed
working for some of the dairy farmers in his home church. After attending private
Lutheran schools from childhood through high school, he earned his B.A. from Bethany Lutheran College and his M.Div. degree from Bethany Lutheran
Theological Seminary. During his pastoral ministry he also earned a Ph.D. in
theological studies through the Graduate Theological Foundation.
Hartwig is married to Sarah and they have four children.
